Ian Van D. spent his adolescence in Denver, Co and recently received his MFA from The University of Wisconsin-Madison. Today, he is working at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and continues his artistic exploration out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ian, is a rambunctious scavenger and spontaneous builder. With his body, he wrestles found material into figurative forms and manifests a haunted aura into his scarecrow-like sculptures. His work is embedded with every bit of boyish angst and a lifelong passion for VHS era horror films.
