Mary Johnson

Mary Johnson is a Minnesota-based artist living north of St Paul, with a studio in Minneapolis in the Casket Arts-Factory building. Her work is informed by sculptural and traditional craft processes, and the repurposing and recontextualizing of everyday materials. She received her MFA from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and her BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She currently teaches sculpture at the College of Saint Benedict & Saint John’s University.

Mariah Laster

Mariah Laster is an artist living and working in St Paul, MN. Mariah's passion for drawing and painting began when as a child from a fascination with anime and manga like Sailor Moon. Mariah is inspired by art from the era’s of Romanticism and the American Renaissance to Illustrations from the 1940’s - 1960’s to present day illustration and design. Mariah's most recent body of work, The BEAUTY IN OUR PAIN, demonstrates Mariah's passion to express her own voice artistically, while being influenced by the works of artists and art eras she admires.

Todd Shanafelt

Todd Shanafelt (b.1974 in Three Rivers, MI, USA) has been professor of art (ceramics) at Minnesota State University, Mankato since 2002.  He received his MFA from Kansas State University in 2001 and BA degrees in French and Visual Arts at the University of Northern Colorado in 1996.  He has had extended studies abroad at the Lycée Jean-Puy in Roanne, France in 1992-93 and again in Tours, France in 1996. Since 2000, his work has been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions throughout the USA and abroad.  His work is found in collections at the Musée de la Céramique d’Andenne, Belgium, Kapfenburg Cultural Center, Austria, Centro de Artesania De Aragon, Spain, Museu de la Ceramica de Manises, Spain, Mesa Contemporary Arts, Arizona, USA, Yingge Internatioinal Ceramics Museum, Taiwan and others.

Pocket Toscani

Pocket Toscani was born in Dayton, Ohio and received their MFA from Ohio University. After school Pocket moved to Chicago and worked at The Field Museum of Natural History. Pocket then moved to Minneapolis to work at the Children’s Museum. Pocket started teaching sculpture a little more than fifteen years ago, and now teaches full time at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Pocket has been showing regularly for decades and is still excited and driven to produce the best work possible. Pocket has gotten a number of grants and commissions, and lives with their partner and daughter in N.E. Minneapolis and Mankato, Minnesota.
