In this show, the three Fall 2019 Resident Artist Interns collaborated to showcase the work they produced during their residencies at the Gallery Factory. They set a long table full of art in the middle of the gallery and served spaghetti at the gallery opening in line with the "dinner party" theme.
Veronika McGinnis is a multi disciplinary artist from Edmonton, Alberta. She received her Fine Arts Diploma from Grant MacEwan in 2017, before continuing her studies at the University of Alberta, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2019. Conceptually, her work explores conscious and unconscious states, addressing themes of sexuality, mysticism and repression in the psyche.
Charlotte RD is a sculptor and interdisciplinary artist from Saint Paul, MN. She recently graduated from Grinnell College with a double major in Studio Art and Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies. Her work is generally abstract and focuses on themes of interlocking systems of dependence and reliance.
Sarah Gratz is a multi disciplinary artist from Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Middlebury College in 2019, receiving a degree in Studio Art and Education. Her work abstracts symbols and archetypal objects into new arrangements to satirize their function in the face of their aesthetics.
