Abigail Koesterich

Bio

Abby Koesterich is an interdisciplinary artist based in Boston, MA. She received her BA for Graphic

Design and Photography from Marist College in 2024. Her work utilizes both digital and physical

mediums, often using digital programs to enhance and inspire her physical work. She enjoys the

challenge of integrating her background in technology within all aspects of her practice.

Artist Statement

My work reflects themes of time in the different forms it manifests itself. Recently, my work considers time

as it is represented through memory. When I think back on a memory, I can see it shining in my head,

flashing through my mind. Sometimes, details will come back that make me smile, but they’re fragile. I

forget, and the process repeats itself. In time, my memories combine and then they fade. Sometimes if I

think back on a memory and can’t see the whole picture it scares me. My work reflects that feeling, of the

memories that fade, and those rediscovered.
