Bio

Madeline Cochran (b. 1994, La Crosse, WI) lives and works in Minneapolis, MN. She is a multidisciplinary artist inspired by the enigmatic landscapes and atmosphere of the Midwest. Her practice investigates the subconscious through minimalism, craft traditions, and folkloric symbols embedded within the region. Over the past decade, she has worked across traditional mediums, incorporating both organic and industrial materials into her practice. This exploration has deepened her interest in public art and in generating meaning within temporary and site-responsive environments.
